6 miles. Meet 10 AM just inside the Cemetery at the Gatehouse, 3822 Ridge Ave. We will hike (not tour) this historic cemetery and then walk on the Schuylkill River Trail. Bring water and a snack. Directions: From the Schuylkill Expressway and City Avenue, take Exit 340A Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive. Stay in the far left lane and follow signs for Ridge Ave East/Kelly Drive. At the bottom of the exit ramp, go straight onto Kelly Drive. Drive to the third light, South Ferry Road, and turn left. Turn right almost immediately onto Ridge Ave. Drive about 0.4 miles east on Ridge to the Cemetery. Park in the parking lot just across from the Cemetery and walk across Ridge into the Cemetery. OR, take SEPTA Bus Route 61 (the Ridge Ave. line) from Center City and get off at Clearfield St. across from the Cemetery Gatehouse. Cost: $1.00.
