KING RANCH (short)Change Hike Leader and Meeting Place

-8 miles. Meet at Laurels Preserve, McCorkles Rock Rd. Coatesville, PA 19320 at 12 Noon. This hike is for the ambitious afternoon hiker. From Route 82, we walk a mile along a country lane by a quiet brook to a covered bridge and glorious arduous miles of hills. Cost: $1.00+ $1.00 for the Brandywine Conservancy. Driving Directions:

From Philadelphia, take 95 South for 9.6 miles

Exit 3A onto Rte 322W/Conchester Hwy toward West Chester for 7.4 miles

Left onto US-1 South/US-322 W/Baltimore Pike for 10.3 miles

Exit right PA-82 North/Unionville Road for 2.4 miles

At traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto PA-82 N/W Doe Run Rd for 4.3 miles.

Pass McCorkles Rock Rd (Apple Grove Rd) and continue 1/4 mile to the next gravel road on the right. Drive in and park near the red barns.  Hike leader will wait there. Call if you get lost.
