5 miles. Depart G&R at 10:30 AM (15 miles to trailhead.) Chestnut Hill West train arrives at 10:20. This is a nice introduction to hiking for those of you who would like to try it or for those of you who haven't hiked for a while. Some ups and downs (but no big climbs to worry about.) Hiking poles and sturdy walking shoes or boots are recommended. There is lovely scenery throughout as we walk along the Skippack Creek. Bring lunch and water. Steady rain cancels the hike.
