8 miles. Depart 69th Street Terminal at 9:00 AM (50 miles to trailhead) or meet at the Bear Creek Mountain trail head at 10:45. Bear Creek Mountain is located in Macungie, Pennsylvania (101 Doe Mountain Lane). Trails surround the entire resort. The trails meander up to the very top of the ski slopes then descend back down and run along the resort's lake. Along the trail you will experience constant inclines and declines and at times watching your footing on rocky ground. Fortunately the entire walk is overshadowed by a constant canopy of leaves and branches. Meeting location is the first parking lot on the right above the lake. Optional meal at resort following hike.
