7–8 miles. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at Glenroy Nature Preserve, located at 10 West Christine Road (PA Route 272), Nottingham, PA. The meeting location is an 18-space parking area on the right before the bridge where Route 272 crosses the Octoraro Creek. Hike begins from the parking area. For information, visit oxfordareafoundation.org. Glenroy Preserve opened in March 2022. The trails are mostly old farm and carriage roads and are very wide and well-marked. The network of trails extends on either side of West Christine Road. The trail crosses the road under the bridge along the Octoraro Creek. This 5.1 + 2.2, total 7.3-mile multi-loop trail (generally considered an easy to moderate route with 4 water crossings), takes an average of 3+ hours to complete.

This is a popular trail for birding, fishing and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. Bring water and snacks. There is a special Bamboo Tunnel on the trail. Limit 15 participants, including leader. Please have a face mask in your pocket for when social distancing is challenging. RSVP required at https://www.meetup.com/Batona-Hiking-Club/ or by contacting leader. Cost $1.00. Leader Bob Coia 610-506-0385, rjcoia@yahoo.com.
