DELAWARE WATER GAP HAS BEEN CANCELLED. The area around Delaware Water Gap is heavily flooded and many roads are closed. An attempt will be made to reschedule the Delaware Water Gap hike in May. A HIKE IN THE WISSAHICKON REPLACES THIS HIKE FOR APRIL 10, 2022.
14 miles. Meet the leader at 9:30 a.m. at the Coppermine trailhead parking lot on Old Mine Road, Hartwick Township, 07825 (41°02'16.4"N 75°01'38.9"W). We will hike on a variety of trails in this National Recreation Area. There will be one steep climb of around 1,000 feet to Raccoon Ridge, walk along the ridge and to finish out the day, a pleasant walk (mostly downhill) along a small mountain stream. Bring lunch, water, and sturdy hiking boots. . A face mask is required and must be worn when social distancing is difficult.
