DUE TO ICY TRAIL CONDITIONS IN THE WISSAHICKON, THIS HIKE IS CANCELLED.
16-17 miles. We will start at 8:30 am on Forbidden Drive at the intersection with Bells Mills Road (40.07903,-75.22601). (There are parking lots on Bells Mills Road on both sides of the intersection.) We will follow trails along the Wissahickon Creek on the Andorra / Roxborough / Manayunk side to Ridge Avenue just above the Schuylkill River and return using trails on the East Falls/Mt. Airy/Chestnut Hill side. This is a strenuous hike on terrain that is often hilly and rocky and sometimes wet or muddy. It may be necessary to vary the route or distance depending on the trail conditions on the day of the hike. Ice or accumulating snow cancels. Any changes will be posted on Meetup.
