THIS BLUE MARSH LAKE HIKE REPLACES THE THANKSGIVING DAY HIKE IN DELAWARE.
23-mile loop hike around lower portion of Blue Marsh Lake. Meet at 8:00 a.m. at Dry Brooks Boat Launch (40.385113, -76.031429), Bernville, PA 19506 and park in the parking lot. There is no significant elevation gain, however, there are ongoing elevation changes throughout the hike, and due to the distance and pace this hike is not for beginners. Wear a blaze orange safety vest or hat because some trail sections will be adjacent to small game hunting areas (pheasants and squirrels). Head lamps required as it gets dark early. Hiking boots recommended. Hiking poles suggested. A mask is required and is to be worn whenever not actively hiking (except while eating) and when social distance cannot be maintained while hiking.
