23-mile loop hike around lower portion of Blue Marsh Lake. Depart G & R at 7:00 AM (63 miles to the trailhead) or meet at 8:30 AM at Dry Brooks Day Use Center and park at the end of the road near the beach and concession stand, (40.385516, -76.041377). Enjoy lake views and rolling terrain with easy to moderate inclines throughout, and an elevation gain of 1800+ feet. Due to the distance and pace, this hike is not for beginners. Hiking boots recommended. Hiking poles suggested. Bring at least 2+ liters of water plus lunch and snacks to stay energized. Cost: $1.00. If carpooling please share driving expenses, $0.10 per mile plus tolls round trip.
