BATONA TRAIL MAINTENANCE. Revised 3/9 - Meet on Carranza Road just past the memorial at the Batona Trail crossing at 10:00 AM. Please be early so work assignments can be given out in time for the 10:00 AM departure time. Anyone needing transportation must contact the leader by Thursday Mar. 10th to make arrangements (if possible). This year’s work trip will involve the usual cutting, trimming and trash collection on Batona’s part of the trail from Ong’s Hat to Carranza. Bring lunch and drink. Batona will provide the tools or you can use your own. Since opening in 1961 as a 30-mile trail, it has become a well used part of New Jersey’s trail system.
