MIDDLETOWN TRAILS

For those using public transportation leader will meet at the Elwyn-R3 Train Station at 9:50 AM (5 miles to trailhead) or in the parking lot of the Wawa Preserve at 10:15 on Valley Road (39.907707,-75.456920). Parking lot is about 200-300 yards from the intersection of US 1 and Valley Road (across from the old Franklin Mint). This is a network of trails in Middletown Township, Delaware County. The 98-acre Wawa Preserve is owned by Natural Lands Trust and operated in partnership with Middletown Township. Parts of the property were once used to graze cattle for the Wawa Dairy. The trails follow the creek bed and wind through fields and woodlands. ***If weather is bad call leader to confirm if hike will take place. Bring lunch and water. Cost $1.00.
