14 miles. For those using public transportation, take the SEPTA 101 trolley from 69th Street to the Springfield Mall stop. Meet leader at stop at 8:25 AM. For those driving, meet in front of Macy’s (park under trees next to Baltimore Pike) at 8:30 AM (6 mile drive to park). For directions to trailhead, contact leader. Hike through most of this beautiful park, including the less-visited western portion. Some muddy, wet areas. Boots recommended. Bring lunch and water. Cost $1.00.
