5 miles. For those driving, meet across from the horse stables in the parking lot at Germantown and Northwestern Avenues, Chestnut Hill, at 10:45 AM. If using public transportation, meet at Germantown and Rex Avenues at 10:30 AM. Please let leader know by Saturday afternoon if you will need transportation from Rex Avenue. Hike the hills and carriage path along the Wissahickon Creek. Following the hike we will take a short drive to the Woodmere Art Museum to see the special exhibit of the oil paintings of Walter E. Schofield, Pennsylvania landscape impressionist. A number of his paintings are winter scenes of the Wissahickon in the general areas where will hike. Bring lunch and water. Cost: $1.00.
