8 to 10 miles. Meet at Batsto Village main entrance parking area off Rt. 542 at 10:30 AM SHARP for start of hike. Anyone needing transportation must contact the leader before Friday January 23rd to make arrangements. Last time we did this hike we crossed the wet areas on solid (mostly!) ice. We’ll push our luck again this year! Depending on how the weather has been we will either splash or skate (or both) our way along the Sleeper Branch and its swamp. If we can make it all the way we will cut south and head back along the Nescochague Creek forming a loop. If we are thwarted by the Sleeper we will retreat and finish the hike around the Batsto area.
