THIS HIKE HAS BEEN CANCELED due to weather related trail problems. 7 miles. For those using public transportation, take the 101 Septa trolley from 69th Street to the Springfield Mall stop. Meet leader at this stop at 8:25 AM. For those driving, meet at 8:30 in front of Macy's at the front of Springfield Mall (50 miles to trailhead). A beautiful winter hike in a 1,757 acre park with wonderful views around Delaware’s largest fresh water pond; wooded areas & mostly level terrain. If weather is bad or conditions are icy, call leader to confirm if hike will take place. Bring lunch and water. Cost: $1.00. In previous winters, there was no entrance fee to this Delaware Park.
