STRENUOUS 12-14 miles. For those using public transportation, take the SEPTA 101 trolley from 69th Street to the Springfield Mall stop. Meet leader at stop at 7:25 AM. For those driving, meet in front of Macy’s (park under trees next to Baltimore Pike) at 7:30 AM. (50 miles to trailhead.) For directions to trailhead, contact leader. Hike includes some of the western trails, Scotts Run Lake, Millers Point and Mill Creek, as well as a portion of Crow’s Nest Preserve. Some hilly, steep and rocky trails.
