5 to 6 miles. Meet at the new Wilson Road parking lot at 10:30 AM. Directions: Drive to the covered bridge on Route 252. Cross the bridge and drive about 0.1 mile to Wilson Rd. and turn left.
This is not the VFNHP hike I led recently for Batona, so come for a somewhat different view of the Park. We will hike up and around Mt. Joy; then go east to the Visitor Center on the Chapel Trail; and take the multi-use trail and/or cross meadows and the bridge behind Knox's Quarters to get back to our cars.
By public transportation, take Route 125 bus to VFNHP Visitor Center at 10:04. Wait in front of the Visitor Center and we will drive you to the start of the hike. Cost: $1.00. Leader: Lois Brooks, 610-952-6878, mbrooks@wcupa.edu
